Business Loan Officer (Ocho Rios & May Pen)

JOB SUMMARY
Act as liaison between customers and our financial institution and aid qualified small business operators to acquire loans in a timely manner.

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate creditworthiness; determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans.
  • Conduct site visits as required.
  • Justify decisions (approvals) and report on them.
  • Submit adequate loan applications to the credit committee for approval.
  • Provide market research to aid in decision making.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 3-5 years of proven working experience as a Small Business Loan Officer.
  • Only for applicants who reside in or near the environs of Ocho Rios or May Pen area.
  • Only applicants who own and operate a reliable motor vehicle will be considered.
  • Solid understanding of direct/indirect lending products and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Customer satisfaction orientation and sales competencies
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field.

Loan Officer - Portmore

JOB SUMMARY
To act on behalf of the company to evaluate and recommend for approval, loan applications for clients. Act as liaison between customers and our financial institution and help qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner.

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate creditworthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits for Personal Loans.
  • Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
  • Use authorized rations and metrics to set up debt payment plans
  • Communicate with clients either to request or to provide information
  • Justify decisions (approvals) and report on them
  • Refer applications with lacking criteria for management review and approval decisions
  • Complete loan contracts
  • Update job knowledge on types of loans and other financial services
  • Maintain and update account records
  • Submit adequate loan applications to supervisor or credit committee as necessary for approval.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Only applicants who reside in the surrounding environs of St. Catherine area will be considered.
  • Proven working experience as a loan officer
  • Only applicants who own and operate a reliable motor vehicle will be considered.
  • Familiarity with computers and loan applications/software
  • Solid understanding of direct/indirect lending products and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer satisfaction orientation and sales competencies
  • Ability to work in a goal oriented environment
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field
